Imported from Brasil at an early age, Gil spent his formative years nursing on early 80s hip-hop and breakdancing movies in Queens, NY. After a misguided stint as an environmental scientist, he found himself dissecting Truffaut and learning to load Arri Mags at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Finally landing in Gotham City, Gil has gone on to lens plenty of commercials, music videos and narrative projects.
